Not sure if someone else has already posted this site but very nice in planning for your loot to a certain extent and let's you see what loot would be best for you depending on what stat you need to stack.

Here's an example, for my affliction spec, i need a total of 13% hit from gear.

One way to achiev that is with this gear

For mages I would also recommend optimal gear sett feature in Rarw.mage.

It works quite good.

rawr is pretty good aswell, shows gear in a ranking list and also links them wowhead:)
