Discipline Priest in Ulduar
Will raids want Disc priests? We are honestly not too worried about that. We'd estimate about half of the healing priests we've watched in Ulduar are Disc, at least for the guilds that are making boss kills. Consider, that when you have a tank with 45,000 health and a boss is hitting for 25,000 health (which is not the kind of thing we did in Naxx, but is in Ulduar), none of the healing you can do will let that tank survive two hits in a row. But Power Word: Shield will. (Source)
So basically I'm going Disc/Holy for my duel spec.

speaking of PW:S...
Does PW:S stop rage? Im starting to use PW:S alot more and want to make sure I am not messing up the tanks ability to get rage and keep aggro. (note..I do not have a warrior and have no clue how rage works)
Also is there any other reason I wouldnt want to cast this on the tank? It would be great to be able to just spam it but if I need to I can manage when I use it.
thanks..trying to get my tactics down for raiding.

Unless things have changed, you do not PW:S a warrior right at the START of a fight...due to them not being able to take damage and build up initial rage. Once the fight begins, it's fine; however, that first start of the fight is when you have to watch it.
Again, things may have changed since I last played my warrior, hehehe...
For DK's, we love it! Less damage means less damage, hehehe, an has nothing to do with our ability to build RP...

They are changing it in 3.1 so that warriors and bears will get rage for damage absorbed by shields last time I checked

Has there been any word about how shields and pallies will work in 3.1? They lose a fair bit of mana regen currently due to the lack of heals needed with all the shielding taking place (both from PW:Shield and Divine Aegis).

So far I think nothing yet. But I have healed bjorek quite a few times and haven't heard any complaints.

They changed Guarded by the Light allows Divine Plea to be up virtually all the time. ontop of that While Divine Plea is active, you take 3% reduced damage from all sources.
so the prot pally should not be hurt by shields, cus any tank with a brain will press a button to get all the mana u need and take 3% less damage.
but like any prt testing nothing is set in stone.
