Looting for non-DKP raids is through a /random roll with the following guidelines:
TIERED/CLASS TOKENS:
In most cases non-DKP runs are for alternate characters. In the event of a main character attending (or multiple main characters) Tiered items are awarded to the person with the most EP. In addition, the FULL COST of that item (GP) will be deducted from the main (nothing is "free") if the tokens/items are still managed through the DKP system. To clarify, if an instance is still being run for DKP items for main characters are charged as normal. Once an instance is on farm status and no longer worth DKP any items are considered free for all and handled without DKP.
NEED before GREED:
Very simple concept, if the item is an UPGRADE and considered PRIMARY (see below), you may bid upon it.
ITEM ELIGIBILITY:
Any item for a character's primary spec is considered "primary" and permitted to be bid upon. For purposes of raiding:
Primary Items
Secondary Items
An item is considered primary item if it directly relates to the spec of the person bidding for it. For example, tanks bidding on DPS items. Similarly hybrids bidding on items for alternate specs are considered secondary (e.g., an Enhancement shaman bidding on +spellpower gear).
Secondary Items
When an item is not desired by anybody as a primary item, in order to prevent it being disenchanted it will be offered to those who could use it for off-spec gear set.
MAINS have PRIORITY over ALTERNATES:
Self-explanatory...if somebody is on the raid with a raid-eligible alternate character, people on with their mains get first priority UNLESS the person is there on their alternate character at the raid leader's request.

Bind on Equipped Items
Anyone not invited to the raid by 10 minutes before the scheduled time may choose to be placed on the Waiting List. You may switch to an alternate character while on the waiting list as long as you inform an officer of the alt's name before switching.
Bind on Equipped Items
If a BOE item drops and no one in the current raid group NEEDS it, priority for bidding will be given to players on the Waiting List. If no one on the Waiting List NEEDS the item, it will go to the guild bank for later distribution.
